Questions

Straight answers, and honest gaps.

3 of the 14 questions below have no answer yet, and they are marked. The Fund would rather tell you that a decision has not been made than write a sentence that sounds like one.

Applying

  • Yes. The Fund takes applications on a rolling basis — there is no window that opens and closes, and no date you can miss.

You do not need to wait for an announcement or join a list. If you meet the conditions, apply.

Who qualifies

  • No. Being Ga-Dangme is required, and it is not on its own enough.

Four things must all be true: you are Ga-Dangme, you are a university student, your academic record meets the Fund's standard, and cost is a genuine obstacle to continuing for you. The Fund could not support every Ga-Dangme student and has never said it would.

Documents

  • Your academic record, your statement of account from your institution, and information about your financial circumstances.

Exactly which documents are accepted for each of these is set out on the eligibility page, including the alternatives available where the usual document cannot be obtained.

Money

  • Not decided yet

The Fund has not published a number, and will not publish one it cannot honour.

What is decided is who the Fund is for and what an award covers. How many awards a given year carries depends on what the Fund holds that year.

Your information

  • Your application is assessed by the Fund Secretariat. Access to what you upload is restricted by role, so that someone who does not need to read a document cannot open it.

Your documents are never used in the Fund's public or promotional material.
